    Three headed to state meet Brian Smith Tue, 04/30/2024 - 8:38 pm Three Jack County athletes will be heading to the state track meet after solid _nishes at regional track meets April 19-22. The state meet is scheduled for later this week in Austin. Jaxson Hubble will be heading to the state track meet for the second straight year after winning the seated shot put with a meet record of 24-8. Also competing for Jacksboro were Eric Pizana, who came in sixth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 40.84, and Jeff Treadway, who was eighth in the discus with a 133-2 throw. For the Tigerettes, Landrie Valenzuela _nished third in the shot put with a 40-5.5 effort. She quali_ed for state for having the best third place throw. Also competing for Jacksboro were Kylie Tullous, who was _fth in both the long jump (17-3) and pole vault (10-0). Brailyn Tullous was third in the pole vault with a 10-0 leap. Also qualifying for state was Bryson freshman Jaydah McComack, who _nished second in the 400-meters with a time of 1:02.81. She also came in sixth in both the high jump (4-10) and triple jump (33-1’2) Senior Brooke Bennett was seventh in the shot put after a 29-1 throw. Perrin had regional competitors in Cameron Tune, who finished third in both the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.11 and 300-meter hurdles with 42.78. The 4x100 meter relay team of Kennadee Langham, Callie Weddle, Shiloh Wilson and Lucchese Reilly were fourth with 53.91. The 4x200-meter relay foursome of Erika Hernandez, Wilson, Langham and Reilly _nished _fth with a time of 1:56.65. Hernandez, Langham, Wilson, and Reilly were fourth in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:38.12. Junior Jack McCormick was seventh in the 800-meter run in 2:10.49.
