    TNT Fest set for Saturday

    TNT Fest set for Saturday Brian Smith Tue, 06/25/2024 - 9:44 pm It will be a busy weekend at Twin Lakes Community Park as TNT Fest will be happening Saturday, June 29. The Jacksboro Youth Sports Association Baseball Tournament starts the all-day event off at 8 a.m. Saturday. Nearly 70 teams will be competing as the tournament is full of teams in divisions 8U-14U. A barbecue cookoff coordinated by the Lone Star Barbecue Society and sponsored by the Jacksboro Fire Department begins Friday, June 28. Items can be registered online at cityofjacksboro. com or at the event. Inflatable water slides will be available throughout the day for $10. Events for the public begin at 5 p.m. with chicken poop bingo sponsored by Jack County Stand Together on Meth Prevention. Each square is $20 each with squares available at the event. The annual Baby Beautiful event starts at 6:30 p.m. on the band stage. Registration can be completed at City Hall or at the event before 5 p.m. Children up to 24-months-old can enter with babies being classified in threemonth intervals (3-6 months, etc.). Tempting Disaster will take the stage around 8 p.m. with music for all ages, including both country and classic rock. The fireworks display will commence the festival at 9:30 p.m. with the national anthem and flag raising at 9:25 p.m. For information, contact Leslie Jackson at 940-567-6321 or email tntfest@cityofjacksboro. com.
