The bollards are coming back. The Jackson Town Council voted yesterday to re-install the bike lane bollards on Willow Street for the upcoming season. The white PVC pipes that have lined the street on Snow King Avenue for several years were expanded to Willow Street last summer. Jackson Hole hits 500 inches
There is still a just under a month left in the ski season and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has hit the 500″ snowfall mark for the season with more on the way. Another big snowstorm is forecast with a Winter Storm Warning for the mountains of Western Wyoming. Snowfall totals of 18 to 24 inches are possible in the Tetons, while only 2 to 5 inches are expected over the lower elevations of the northern part of Yellowstone National Park. The southern end of the Salt River and Wyoming Ranges could also only receive 4 to 8 inches.
Standoff in Idaho ends in suicide

Rafters aided by Teton County Search and Rescue, snowmobiler dies
Teton County Search & Rescue was back in action over the weekend when they responded to two incidents, including one ended in tragedy. On Saturday, a Twin Falls, Idaho couple had rented a raft and launched at the Wilson Bridge with the goal of floating to the South Park Landing 13 miles downriver. Realizing they could not navigate the river the pair stopped the raft near the levee. Search & Rescue volunteers responded on snowmobiles. The couple were taken by snowmobiles to the Wilson Bridge.
