Man facing multiple charges after police chase ends in crash near high school in Cape Girardeau
CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - A police chase through Cape Girardeau and outside the city limits ended with a crash and an arrest on Wednesday morning, July 3. Emanuel Crespo, 27, of Cape Girardeau, is facing a long list of charges, from stealing and theft to felony assault, in connection with a stolen vehicle and the police chase.
Cairo man sentenced for selling nearly a pound of meth
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — A Cairo, Illinois, man who pleaded guilty in March to two counts of distributing methamphetamine was sentenced Wednesday to 188 months in prison. A news release from the Office of the United States Attorney Eastern District of Missouri said that Marcus M. Nelson, 42, pleaded guilty in March in the U.S. District Court in Cape Girardeau. Nelson admitted to selling meth on two instances to an informant who told Drug Enforcement Administration agents about past meth purchases.
