National French Fry Day is celebrated annually on July 12, but some deals often last through the entire month, and what better way to celebrate than with free fries.
McDonald's and other large franchises all over the world are giving customers a complimentary order of fries in honor of National French Fry Day.
All customers have to do is download the restaurants app, create an account and select which size fries they would like to add to a meal; some are even offering no order necessary to receive your fry.
But McDonald’s isn’t the only fast food restaurant offering free fries this week. Checkers and Rally's are among those offering a complimentary free fry as well.
Below are a few places offering French fry deals for National French Fry Day in the Jackson metropolitan area.
Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux
This year for National French Fry Day, Walk-on's Sports Bistreaux will be launching exclusive French Fry creations inspired by fan-favorite dishes and current food trends that will start July 12 and will continue to go on throughout the month of July, according to a press release.
"The Walk-on's signature waffle fries has been our top selling item since Walk-on's opened over 20 years ago; going on 21 years in August," said John Hagen, director of culinary and beverage for Walk-on's. "The new limited fry options are loaded down with some of the fan favorite ingredients that are all made over the signature waffle fries which is the base for all the extra toppings."
Walk-on's will be featuring three limited-time fry offers: Buffalo Chicken Cheese Fries, Loaded Bacon Cheeseburger Waffle Fries and Pulled Pork Waffle Cheese Fries.

Checkers and Rally's
Checkers and Rally's are both American fast food double drive-thru chains, and this year for National French Fry Day, customers can get a free regular fully loaded fry with any purchase inside the Checkers and Rally's rewards app.

McDonald's
McDonald's, one of the world's most popular fast food chains, will be honoring national French Fry Day by allowing customers to download the McDonald's app and get free fries of any size, no order purchase necessary.

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen
Popeyes is famous for their chicken, biscuits, the famous chicken sandwich, and let's not forget, their fries. This year for National French Fry Day, customers can download the Popeyes app, sign up and add a free small fry to an order of their choice.

Wendy's
Wendy's has declared Friday's as best "FRYday" by allowing customers free any size fry, with any purchase on the Wendy's app every Friday since April 19 of this year. This applies for National Fry Day, customers can get a free fry with any app purchases, and will continue every Friday after.

Whataburger
Whataburger is celebrating National French Fry Day with a free medium fry through the Whataburger app. If customers do not have the app, they can download it before July 12 and still be rewarded a free fry.
