One man arrested after domestic dispute ends in fatal shooting in Jackson

A Jackson Police official told the Clarion Ledger that one person has been arrested after a Thursday morning domestic dispute ended in the shooting death of 47-year-old Freddie Adams Jr .

Public Information Officer Tommie Brown said police arrested Baylon Graham, 20, on Thursday evening in connection to the shooting.

According to police, the shooting occurred shortly before 2:30 a.m. in the 500 block of Lawrence Road in North Jackson.

Brown said police believe that Adams got into an argument with his girlfriend. That is when Graham, the girlfriend's son, is believed to have intervened and shot Adams.

Brown said Adams was pronounced dead at the scene.

Graham faces a murder charge.

This is the city's 73rd homicide, according to the Clarion Ledger's records.
