Donny Crawford Retires as Lane College Baseball Coach
After two seasons at the helm of the Lane College baseball program, Donny Crawford has announced his retirement as head coach. Lane hired Crawford to lead the baseball program in June of 2022. Crawford, who previously coached at Stillman College, turned that baseball program into a powerhouse over the 11 years he led the program.

Green Jays pumped for big things to come with Kevin Lynum, new athletic director
Jackson State Community College has some big things coming for their athletics department. Jackson State has brought on Dr. Kevin Lynum to be the school’s new athletic director. Lyum told 39 News that under his new position people can expect to see a branding deal, facility upgrades, and sports camps for high schoolers. He even mentioned adding more athletic options to the school’s list, which currently consists of men and women’s basketball, baseball, and softball.
Williams commits to Harding University Track
During the summer, Chester County Class of 2024 graduate Dillon Williams committed to running track at Harding University. In his time at Chester County, Williams earned three sectional medals and three state medals. In addition to making it to state, Williams placed fourth in a National Scholarship Invitational in Tampa, Florida this past June in which he accomplished finishing the 800 meter race in under two minutes at 1:59.59.
