SNAPPED: New span of Snake River Bridge opens to traffic
WILSON, Wyo. — Now that Teton Pass is back in play, local attention can return to another stretch of WY22: the Snake River Bridge. The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) opened the new half of the bridge to traffic on Tuesday, July 2. The new lanes are configured much like the old bridge was, with one lane of traffic traveling in each direction. The old bridge is now closed to traffic.
Garaman Pathway open following multiday closure
JACKSON, Wyo. — The Garaman Pathway is once again open to cyclists and pedestrians, Buckrail has confirmed. The pathway opened back up to users on the evening of Monday, July 1, according to Teton County Pathways Coordinator Brian Schilling. The Town of Jackson closed the pathway on Wednesday, June 26, to allow crews to clear out the Wort Ditch irrigation pipe, which had failed earlier in June. This pipe diverts water from Flat Creek through Garaman Park and along the pathway to Northern South Park for irrigation.
