Jackson Hole Auctioning Iconic Sublette Chairs for Charity

This summer, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) is replacing one of it's most iconic chairlifts- The Sublette Quad .

The original fixed-grip lift served countless skiers during its 37 years of operation, but is being replaced by a high-speed detachable quad in time for Winter '24/'25.

To celebrate the iconic Sublette Quad's decades of service, JHMR is auctioning off a limited supply of chairs with 20% of proceeds donated to Teton Adaptive .

The auction runs from today, June 26th, 2024 through Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024. Chairs must be picked up at JHMR on July 13th. Residents of Teton County can pay $300 to have the chair(s) delivered to their home.

JHMR is selling the chairs "as is" with the safety bar and cushions included. The dimensions of each chair are eight feet wide by six feet tall, weighing approximately 375 pounds.

The Sublette Quad was a pivotal chairlift for JHMR for nearly 40 years. A viable option for skiers wishing to stay high on the mountain, the lift serviced everything from Blue groomers to the chutes and steeps JHMR is known for.

The lift will be back and faster than ever next season, but sentimental JHMR skiers might leap at the opportunity to purchase a piece of the resort's history while they can.

Plus, it's not often (at least at this point in time) that a quad chairlift is decommissioned and sold for parts. Instead, the majority of ski resort chairlift auctions feature aging double and triple chairs.

This is a rare opportunity to purchase an iconic quad chair from an iconic resort. Don't miss out!
