The Jaguars Extended Trevor Lawrence Too Soon

Chris Broussard: “If I was the Jaguars, I would not have extended him. Not that I don’t want him as my quarterback... but before I give someone $275 million, I want to be sure. Rob I’ll say this, if you know he’s (Trevor Lawrence) your guy than it was smart to do it now because we always say the price is going up. Let’s say I’m the GM, didn’t pay him and Trevor comes out and has a great year, I will gladly pay him more next offseason if I am 100% sure in my head that this is my guy.”

Rob Parker: “The only problem is there are so few quarterbacks. So the guys that you have, there stock goes through the roof because there are 32 teams and only 10 (good) quarterbacks.”
