Trevor Lawrence’s wife Marissa announces pregnancy, expecting first baby

It’s shaping up to be an exciting summer for Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence and his wife, Marissa.

The couple revealed Thursday that Marissa is pregnant with their first child, days after Lawrence signed a five-year, $275 million contract extension with the Jaguars.

“A little Lawrence on the way,” Marissa wrote on Instagram.

In the series of photos she posted, Marissa is seen cradling her baby bump next to Lawrence and their two dogs. She is also seen holding the photos of an ultrasound.

Marissa’s post was soon littered with comments congratulating her and Lawrence, 24, on starting a family together.

“Congratulations!!!!! What a blessing!” Dani Watt, the wife of Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt, posted.

“Congrats!!!” Sophie Scott, the girlfriend of fellow Jaguars quarterback Mac Jones, wrote.

The couple, who are high school sweethearts , tied the knot in April 2021 just days before the NFL draft, where Lawrence was selected No. 1 overall by the Jaguars.

Lawrence and Marissa were together throughout the quarterback’s historic Clemson run that saw him lead the program to its second national championship in three years as a freshman.

He then contended for the Heisman Trophy as a sophomore and a junior.

Lawrence inked in his Jaguars extension alongside Marissa at the Jacksonville facility.

“Trevor I am so proud of you and all the hard work that has made this moment possible,” Marissa gushed on Instagram earlier this month.

Lawrence’s deal includes $200 million guaranteed with $142 million at signing.

Lawrence is entering his fourth NFL season as one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the league, tying Joe Burrow for the highest average annual value in league history at $55 million a season.

The Jaguars finished at 9-8 last season and missed the playoffs.

He threw 4,016 yards for 21 touchdowns and 14 interceptions across 16 games.

The Jaguars kickoff the 2024-25 season against the Dolphins in Miami on Sept. 8.
