After missing his entire rookie season due to an injury in 2021, Jacksonville Jaguars RB Travis Etienne has appeared in all 34 regular season games over the past two seasons.

And his play has him ranked inside the top 10 RBs in the league voted on by NFL executives, scouts, and coaches that ESPN's Jeremy Fowler released.

    Travis Etienne, Jaguars

    Ranking: 10th

    Highest Ranking: 4th

Lowest Ranking: Out of the top 10

After missing his entire rookie year because of injury, Etienne became a top-10 back with back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons, 16 total touchdowns and nearly 100 receptions.

One stat from last season perfectly describes Etienne's explosion -- he hit a max of 19.62 miles per hour when crossing the line of scrimmage.

"One of the few three-down backs. Really good zone runner. Makes people miss in space," an NFL coordinator said. "Decent catching the ball and in pass protection. No major flaws -- just not great in short-yardage situations."

    - NFL execs, coaches and scouts top 10 RB rankings

Etienne came in at 10th on the rankings, with the following RBs ranked ahead of him: Christian McCaffrey, Breece Hall, Nick Chubb, Saquon Barkley, Jonathan Taylor, Bijan Robinson, Josh Jacobs, Jahmyr Gibbs, and Derrick Henry. But he comes in ahead of multiple talented backs who were labeled as honorable mentions Aaron Jones, Kenneth Walker III, Isiah Pacheco, James Cook, Joe Mixon, and D'Andre Swift.

Etienne has rushed for over 1,000 yards in both seasons he's played so far in the NFL, and last year, he saw his touchdown numbers more than double from five in 2022 to eleven in 2023. He also saw a large increase in the passing game, with him gaining nearly 30 more targets in 2023, with 73 compared to the 45 he saw in 2022.

Etienne has the chance to become one of the most dynamic RBs in the NFL due to his ability as both a runner and a pass catcher. And with every RB chasing San Francisco 49ers RB Christian McCaffery, that ability is crucial. If he takes another step as a pass catcher in 2024, I think his ranking on next year's list will skyrocket.
