A former Tiger is meeting up with fellow former Tigers with a new team in the NFL.

According to reports from the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Tanner Muse is signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He joins multiple former Tigers, including quarterback Trevor Lawrence and running back Travis Etienne with the Jags.

This will be the fifth NFL team for the versatile defender since being drafted in the third round by the Raiders in 2020.Muse played in 10 games for the LA Chargers last season, recording two solo tackles. However, his most  significant playing time came with the Seattle Seahawks, where he appeared in 32 games, notching 13 solo tackles and a pass breakup over two seasons.

During his college days at Clemson, Muse was a standout. He racked up 237 career tackles, including 10.5 for loss, 15 pass breakups, 4.0 sacks, and seven interceptions. One of his picks was a memorable 64-yard return for a touchdown. He also forced a fumble and had a 63-yard fumble return for a touchdown. In 2019, Muse was named a third-team AP All-American with 73 tackles, 6.0 for loss, 2.0 sacks, five pass breakups, and a team-leading four interceptions.

Now, Muse is ready to bring his talent and experience to Jacksonville, joining a growing group of former Clemson Tigers on the Jaguars’ roster. It’s another opportunity for Muse to prove himself and make a mark in the league.
