Jacksonville Jaguars don't have to worry anymore about the old days of having a bad kicker, or a kicker that simply lost the team a game. There aren't many teams who have had it worse in that department. After drafting Cam Little, a kicker from the University of Arkansas , their problems should be that of the past.
Little was the No. 1 ranked kicker coming out of high school, and he showed that in college. He has a little swagger to him. he will talk trash, dance in your face, and yell all after making a 50-yard kick look extremely easy. He's a ball player, as they say.
But, going from Fayetteville, Arkansas to Jacksonville, Florida is a big change. I mean, maybe a change of 1 million people. Fayetteville isn't big, well, compared to Florida towns, but it is a big town in Arkansas. However, just because the sizes of the two cities are different, doesn't mean that Little doesn't see comparisons between the two that make him feel more at home.
"A lot of good things to like about Jacksonville, and I think one thing that kind of transferred from Fayetteville to Jacksonville for me was, how close the community is with football," Little said recently. "This city loves the football team, and will be forever grateful that we have a football team here, and they make sure and show out. Fan support is something I had a lot of at Fayetteville, their fans are so close and supportive of the football team that it transferred right over to Jacksonville."
As someone who has been to both places, it's really exactly the way Little says it is. In Arkansas, they have no professional sports, so they hold their Razorback football close to their chest. The same can be said about the Jaguars fan base, as there aren't any other professional sports teams in the area, so the Jaguars are pretty much all they know.
Little seems like he will fit in perfectly.
