Affordable housing complex takes applications Downtown

A new affordable housing complex in Downtown Jacksonville is accepting applications.

The Lofts at Cathedral is pre-leasing units for the 120-unit complex on Duval Street in the Cathedral District.

The complex will offer offer studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments. Residents are expected to start moving in in mid-September.

The complex is 50% preleased, according to a report from the Jacksonville Daily Record , a Jacksonville Today news partner.

The project included a $5.45 million renovation of the former YWCA building at 325 E. Duval St. and new construction at 327 E. Duval St.

A portion of the units will be reserved for tenants earning up to 30%, 60% and 80% of the area median income. The remainder will be offered at market rate.

Floor plans are viewable at loftsatcathedral.com . The complex is accepting applications at its temporary leasing office down the road at The Carling, Unit 104.
