John Deere Confirms More Layoffs, Cuts in Salaried Workforce
John Deere has confirmed it plans to layoff more workers through cuts in its global salaried workforce according to Corridor Business Journal. Deere didn’t release details on the number of salaried employees affected. The most recent round of cuts follow more than 600 previously announced layoffs of Deere’s production workers at three facilities in Illinois and Iowa. The company didn’t say when the additional salaried workforce positions would be eliminated.

Panther Volleyball Hope to Return to Quarterfinals
After ending the season at 7-22, the Panorama Panther volleyball team looks to return and advance in volleyball post season actually. Last season, the Panthers defeated the West Central Valley Wildcats 3-2 to advance in the Class 2A Region 4 first round. The Panthers would face off against the ACGC Chargers in the quarterfinal, but would be shut out 3-0 against the Chargers. The Panthers ended last year’s season at 3-4 in conference play, and look towards the eight seniors for leadership on the squad. Seniors Elizabeth Snyder, Madelyn Carstens, Madison Mincy, Cayden Iredale, Bridgette Ewing, Faith Recker, Hanna Smith and Kelsey Laabs look to return to post season action in their final season as Panther volleyball players.
