Sonora, CA – A Sonora man was arrested after an argument over the victim’s stepdaughter, whom the suspect had been dating. Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Deputies recently responded to the 15200 block of Mountain Lilly Road, south of Tuolumne and Standard roads, after a caller reported having an ax thrown at them. The victim told deputies that 36-year-old Chad Allan Koenig had an on-and-off-again dating relationship with his stepdaughter and came to the home to speak with her.

Two Flown From Solo Vehicle Crash In Groveland Area
Groveland, CA – Two people were flown from the scene of a solo vehicle collision in the Groveland area of Tuolumne County last night. The crash occurred around 5 p.m. on Friday, July 26, on Priest Coulterville Road, south of Highway 120. CHP spokesperson Officer Steve Machado reports that 24-year-old Sean Matheus of Fresno, with passenger 19-year-old Sebastian Mathews of Modesto, was driving a 1991 Chevrolet pickup northbound on Priest Coulterville Road, south of the highway, at about 40 miles per hour.

Law Enforcement Activity Near Peaceful Valley Road Sonora. July 28, 2024 – Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Saturday at about 11:45 a.m. deputies. responded to the area of Peaceful Valley Road in Sonora for a report of a minor who had suffered an injury after an explosion. When deputies arrived, they located materials consistent with manufacturing explosive devices. The Joint Calaveras/ San Joaquin County Bomb Squad deputies were called and responded to assist.
