    Search warrant uncovers over 150 grams of different drugs in Jamestown, NY

    ( WJET/WFXP )– A New York man on probation is facing a host of new charges after police allegedly found over 150 grams of different narcotics while serving a search warrant at his residence Thursday.

    Jamestown Police announced Friday they served the warrant around 1:30 p.m. at a residence in the 0 block of Forest Park on July 11 with the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force performing the search and JPD SWAT.

    Once inside, officers found 34-year-old Nicholas J. Dean of Jamestown, NY alone, secured the residence and began their search.

    That search allegedly uncovered 21.3 grams of crack cocaine, 73.6 grams of fentanyl, 75.1 grams of methamphetamine, $1352.00 in cash, a digital scale and packaging material.

    Dean was taken into custody and charged with one count of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia and four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

    At the time, Dean was on probation for a different offense and is now being held in the Jamestown City Jail without bail having pleaded not guilty to all charges.

    Jamestown Police was assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Jamestown Fire Department.
