BURLINGTON - Roger Cook, the longtime landscape contractor on the PBS home improvement series "This Old House," has died. Three men have been arrested in South Kingstown after three separate DUI incidents this week. “Impaired driving is a dangerous problem and having three arrests on a Wednesday – including one before noon – is very alarming,” said Matthew C. New Bedford man killed in pedestrian crash being remembered as services announced
BROCKTON – A New Bedford man killed this week in a pedestrian crash is being remembered. At approximately 8:40 p.m. Tuesday night, Brockton Police received a 911 call for a report of a pedestrian struck at the intersection of North Quincy and Hovenden Streets. Brockton Police and emergency medical personnel responded and located a male victim in the street. The victim was transported to Brockton Hospital where he was pronounced dead of his injuries. He has been identified as Domingos Gomes, 57, of New Bedford.

COVENTRY — On Saturday, community members came together to say goodbye to a man whose presence in Coventry will surely be felt long after his death. “He was a good man,” Alisa Capaldi said to those gathered at Saint Joseph Cemetery in West Greenwich, where her father, Arthur Capaldi, would be interred. Among them was her mother Patricia Capaldi, Arthur’s wife of 59 years.
