SBA Approves Governor Henry McMaster’s Request for Disaster Assistance
Following Governor Henry McMaster's June 21st request, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced today that South Carolina's businesses and residents affected by the June 10th severe weather are eligible to apply for low-interest disaster loans. The declaration covers Berkeley County and the adjacent counties of Charleston, Clarendon, Dorchester, Georgetown, Orangeburg, and Williamsburg.

Heat advisory extended in Lowcountry, heat index could reach 110
LOWCOUNTRY, S.C. (WCIV) — The heat advisory has been renewed for Thursday afternoon following the trend of rising temperatures this week. The advisory has been issued for Beaufort, Charleston, Summerville, Moncks Corner and sections of Myrtle Beach. This advisory will be in effect from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The minor respite may be short-lived as temperatures climb a few degrees over the weekend with heat indices near 110° both Saturday and Sunday.
