Brush Fire Breaks Out Near U.S.-Mexico Border
Fire crews from multiple agencies were working a fast-moving brush fire in Marron Valley Sunday near the U.S.-Mexico border. Units were dispatched at 1 p.m. Sunday to reports of a vegetation fire burning in the Tecate Peak area, just a mile north of the border, according to Cal Fire San Diego.
Firefighters knock down brush fire north of Fallbrook, gaining containment
Firefighters were battling a vegetation fire that broke out in De Luz Sunday. Units were dispatched around 11 a.m. Sunday to reports of a fire, dubbed the "Trail 4 Fire," in the area of Harris Trail and Via Cordoniz Road in San Diego County, just north of Fallbrook, according to Cal Fire officials.
San Diego Humane Society Takes in 50 Animals From Local Residence
Humane Society workers Saturday were bathing and vaccinating dozens of pets after authorities relocated 50 animals from a San Diego County residence. “Our Humane Officers transported 48 cats and two dogs to our campuses for care. Upon intake, each cat and dog were given flea treatment and vaccinations before being placed in appropriate housing,” the San Diego Humane Society said in a statement.

Scripps Ranch Theatre will kick off Season 45 with FULLY COMMITTED by Becky Mode, directed by Ted Leib. The production runs September 6-29, 2024 on the campus of Alliant International University. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2pm. There will be preview performances on Friday, September 6th at 7:30pm with a Press Opening on Saturday, September 7th at 7:30pm.
