JANESVILLE — Team Rubicon, an international nonprofit that helps with disaster relief, is coming to Janesville on Tuesday to help with last Saturday’s tornado damage relief alongside other resident volunteers and relief organizations.

Team Rubicon deploys military veterans and first responders to disaster areas for emergency response and relief. More information about the organization can be found at teamrubiconusa.org .

The group’s volunteers are trained to provide immediate assistance, including debris clearing and other disaster response efforts. Alongside other resident volunteers and relief organizations, coordinated efforts will continue to assist residents with debris clearance and other storm-related property maintenance.

Residents needing help can call the city’s Emergency Operations Center at 608-373-6025 to coordinate a volunteer response.

The city, in partnership with Rock County Emergency Management and the American Red Cross of Southwest Wisconsin, will host a second resource event for affected residents from 3-6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Beckman Mill Room at the Dr. Daniel Hale Williams County Resource Center, 1717 Center Ave., Janesville.

Residents can find additional information on the city’s storm response at janesvillewi.gov/news .
