JANESVILLE — The 66th annual Tallman Arts Festival is set for Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 3-4.

It will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days at the Rock County Historical Society campus, 450 N. Jackson St.

The festival will feature diverse artists, live musical entertainers, food and drink, museum tours, children’s activities, and more.

“RCHS is proud to uphold our tradition of bringing all types of artists from around the region to this weekend filled with art, music and food,” RCHS Executive Director Tim Maahs said in a release. “The artists bring truly unique pieces, which the community supports wholeheartedly.”

Examples of the art at this year’s festival include pottery, jewelry, paintings, mixed media photography and fiber art.

Live music will play from noon to 3 p.m. on both days on the outdoor stage with a variety of music genres.

Jeremiah Fox and the Odd Company Band will play an Elvis tribute on Saturday with three decades of Elvis music.

Frank & Company will play oldies, county and contemporary tunes Sunday.

Attendees may also tour the Lincoln-Tallman Museum. The tours invite guests to discover the beauty, ambiance and history of the mansion during its heyday as the home of the William Morrison Tallman family.

Tickets will be available in the Museum & Visitor Center. Tours are free for RCHS members; an admission fee will be charged for non-members.

The day would not be complete without children’s activities. Activities include a variety of crafts and games under a large tent.

The Tallman Arts Festival is one of the historical society’s largest fundraisers of the year. Proceeds from the art fair are used for care and maintenance of the Lincoln-Tallman Museum, located on the RCHS grounds. The home is owned by the city of Janesville.

Tickets for the event are $10 per day; free for people age 15 and under. Tickets will be available at the entrances of the historical society campus. Parking is free across the street in the Mercy Hospital parking ramp. For more information, visit rchs.us/TAF.
