    K9, drone used to catch Janesville DUI suspect after police chase, crash

    JANESVILLE, Wis. (WTVO) — Janesville Police have arrested a drunk driver who allegedly fled from police in a high-speed chase.

    According to police an officer was called to the area of Milton Avenue and Black Bridge Road around 12:16 a.m. for a complaint of a vehicle speeding and driving recklessly.

    When the officer located the vehicle, he was nearly struck by it, police said, and initiated a pursuit.

    The driver, later identified as Cedric Dukes, 31, a resident of Milwaukee, crashed in the area of Benton Avenue and Harding Street and then fled from the crash scene.

    The Rock County Sheriff’s Office provided a K9 and a drone to track Dukes to the 300 block of E. Memorial Drive.

    Dukes was charged with Fleeing, Resisting, 2nd degree endangering safety, and OWI.
