Texas native rides to LP grand prix win
LAKE PLACID — It’s safe to say that Brian Moggre’s first-ever trip to Lake Placid has been pretty good so far. On the final day of the Lake Placid Horse Show on Sunday, June 30, Moggre, of Flower Mound, Texas, rode his horse MTM Vivre Le Reve to a first place victory in the $75,000 Lake Placid Horse Show Grand Prix at the North Elba Show Grounds.

A Free Theater Camp for North Country Youth
The camp is free of charge and lunch will be provided for all participants. Those interested should submit an application by July 15 online here. The camp is made possible with support from the Essex County Arts Council’s Cultural Assistance Program Grant. This support ensures the program is accessible to all interested students from the region who have a passion for theater and storytelling. The camp aims to empower youth participants by providing a platform to create their own unique performance piece over the course of the week.

LAKE PLACID, N.Y.--Laura Chapot won both of Wednesday’s feature classes as the Week 2 jumper classes began at the 55th annual Lake Placid Horse Shows on Wednesday,, July 3. In Wednesday’s 1.40m Jump-off class, Chapot on Ginola was one of two entries to qualify for the jump-off, and she won by going clean in tin 30.585 seconds.
