Louisville’s most anticipated culinary event is back and bigger than ever! The Kentucky Restaurant Association’s (KRA) Louisville Chapter is set to host the 50th Anniversary of The Taste of Louisville on Wednesday, October 16, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mellwood Art Center. This celebration, which honors the "Legendary Originals" of Louisville’s vibrant food scene, promises an evening filled with unforgettable flavors, iconic chefs, and lively festivities.
The event will bring together over 75 of the city’s top chefs —past and present—offering their signature dishes, alongside more than 25 stations serving a variety of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. It's a chance to meet the creative minds behind some of your favorite Louisville dining spots and sample an extraordinary array of cuisine and libations.
With tickets starting at $85 for general admission, food lovers can indulge in a night of pure culinary artistry. For groups, a four-pack of tickets is available for $300 ($75 per person), and those seeking a VIP experience can reserve a table for eight at $800 ($100 each). This exclusive 21-and-over event invites attendees to dive deep into the award-winning Louisville food scene, all while enjoying live entertainment, a silent disco, a DJ, and a VIP lounge.
Tom Enyeart, the event’s Title Sponsor from Gordon Food Service and Co-Chair of The Taste of Louisville, says it best: “This event is a celebration of our vibrant restaurant scene, bringing together the best of local and regional flavors under one roof. It’s a night to not only enjoy the best cuisine Kentucky has to offer, but also to connect with the culinary artists who have shaped Louisville into the food destination it is today.”
In addition to the delicious eats and drinks, this year’s event proudly supports Frankie’s Family, a local nonprofit that has made a significant impact on Louisville by helping families in need, particularly during the holiday season. The organization, founded by Frankie Hilbert, provides essential items such as food, clothing, and toys to families facing difficult times. Last year, The Taste of Louisville helped raise $20,000 for Frankie’s Family, and the goal is to continue making a lasting difference.
So mark your calendars for October 16! Join Louisville’s finest chefs and food enthusiasts at the Mellwood Art Center, and be part of an extraordinary evening celebrating 50 years of culinary excellence. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or just someone looking for a fun and flavorful night out, this event will not disappoint. Come for the food, stay for the atmosphere, and leave knowing you’ve supported a fantastic cause.
