Two Jefferson Davis County Middle School students experienced a week at Ole Miss for a Pre-College Program called Ethical U.

Kaidyn Barnes and Ahmari Braddy were selected to attend this program June 16-21.

Ethical U was a one-week summer immersion program put on by the Pre-College Department at The University of Mississippi.

It focused on ethical reasoning and questioning, and guided students to think through the social and political issues of the day in a way that was constructive and thought provoking.

The program is aimed to help students become a better thinker with sharper leadership skills as they use real world scenarios to explore questions that matter.

Program coordinator at the University of Mississippi is Yolanda Acey.

“These students loved that they were able to interact with different students with different thoughts,” said Kelsea Brown. “It was a great opportunity for them to experience this,” she said.
