Maryland lottery awards nearly $28.6 million with multiple million-dollar winners
BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Two Maryland Lottery tickets worth $1 million each were sold last week in Frederick and Gaithersburg, a player in Cumberland hit Multi-Match for $560,000, and 25 Bonus Match 5 tickets sold at the same time at the same shop in Glenarden are worth a cumulative total of $576,900 according to Maryland Lottery and Gaming.

Mimi’s Handmade Ice Cream is Coming to Clarksburg
Mimi’s Handmade ice cream is coming to Clarksburg Premium Outlets, taking over the location that was recently home to Melt Cafe and Gelato Bar next to Starbucks. This will be Mimi’s Handmade’s fifth location overall and third in Montgomery County with current locations in Rockville’s Federal Plaza and inside The Heights Food Hall in Chevy Chase. Documentary Details History of Arcola Slave Quarters
A new mini documentary on the history of the Arcola Slave Quarters has been released ahead of a park being developed to further preserve the site’s history. Friends of the Slave Quarters Vice President Phyllis Cook-Taylor said the documentary, produced by David Patterson and directed by Alex Acosta of RH Media, tells the story of efforts to preserve the property since its discovery in the late 1990s including the formation of the Friends of the Slave Quarters in 1998.
