Irem Temple Restoration Receives Crucial Grant Funding
WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE CO. (WOLF) — In 1907 construction began on what would become one of the “crown jewels” of downtown Wilkes-Barre, the Irem Temple. Fast forward to the 1980s and the building became inactive. However, in 2019, a group of people aimed at revitalizing the space took control.

SCRANTON, Pa. — A priest from the Diocese of Scranton has been found guilty under canon law of the sexual abuse of two minors. According to a statement from the Diocese of Scranton, Monsignor Joseph P. Kelly was placed on administrative leave after being accused of sexual abuse in 2020 and 2023.
