Wilkes-Barre Academy students hold bike-a-thon to benefit St. Jude Children's Hospital
The third grade class at Wilkes-Barre Academy recently participated in a school bike-a-thon to support St. Jude Children’s Hospital. This program was supported by all grades at Wilkes-Barre Academy, from kindergarten through fourth. The students were excited to help children in need through their riding and monetary donations. Some students even learned to ride a bike for this occasion. Austyn Lepore, son of Nicole and Tom Lepore of Plains Twp., is celebrating his 15th birthday today. He is the grandson of Eleanor Lapsansky, of Inkerman, Michael and Linda Lapsansky of Falls, Tom Lepore of Plains Twp. and Michalene Thoma of Plains Twp., and the great-grandson of the late Ruth Katarsky of Inkerman and Joanne and Ronald Patoka of Harding and Jerome Lapsansky of Florida. Austyn has a brother, Brayden, 10.

Madison Kilduff, daughter of Lauren and the late Jason Kilduff of Pittston, is celebrating her eighth birthday today. Madison is the granddaughter of Gloria and the late Richard Mizenko of Swoyersville; Ed Kilduff of Tobyhanna; and Larry and Terri Phillips of Coon Rapids, Minnesota. Madison has two sisters, Hailey and Sara, and a brother, Owen.
