Lone Star city council hires new wastewater operator
, The evening of Thursday, August 8th, the city council for Lone Star convened for a special agenda at the Lone Star Fire Department and voted on a new water and wastewater operator. The beginning of the meeting, the council spent much of the time in executive session. After their private session ended, they voted on the motion to hire Ken Harris as the new water and wastewater operator. The council also held a budget meeting after the special agenda session. They discussed many topics, but made no motions or votes. Among the topics discussed were water, sewage, utilities, wages for city employees, and funding for parks and future city events.
