Trinity High School pitcher/shortstop Jake Schweitzer is The Courier Journal baseball Player of the Year, as voted by our readers. Schweitzer was 10-1 with a 1.98 ERA and 89 strikeouts in 55 ⅔ innings during his senior season with the Shamrocks. He also batted .295 with two home runs, five doubles, 31 RBIs and 27 runs scored. The first-team All-State honoree signed with the University of Louisville.
Teach in Asia seeks educators for 2025 summer program
