Record-breaking heat wave provides glimpse of NH’s possible climate future
New Hampshire is at the tail end of a record-breaking heat wave, with communities across the state seeing their longest strings of sweltering days in recorded history. Concord saw temperatures at or above 90 degrees starting on July 6. July 16 marked the city’s 11th day in a row of extreme heat — two days more than the previous longest heat wave, which happened in 2002.

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Let’s take a look at what to do this weekend. This weekend Fort Ticonderoga is holding a two-day battle reenactment of the 1759 Siege of Carillon, which saw the British take control of the fort from the French. Visitors can enjoy demonstrations, boat cruises, and reenactment scenes featuring cannon fire. All events are included in general admission, which ranges from $13 to $29.
Salisbury man cited for driving tractor with suspended license, lacking interlock device
CORNWALL — A Salisbury man was cited for driving with a criminally suspended license after his tractor struck a telephone pole on Cross Road near VT Route 30 on July 19. Vermont State Troopers were called to the scene at 1:03 p.m. where they found 39-year-old Richard Quesnel, who was mowing the road’s edges when his vehicle collided with the pole, causing wires to fall.

Suspect in 2023 Lynn double homicide arrested in Londonderry
LONDONDERRY — A suspect wanted in connection with a double homicide in Lynn, Massachusetts, last year was arrested Thursday afternoon in Londonderry, local authorities said. Justin Alba, 25, of Lynn, was taken into custody around 2:45 p.m. following a traffic stop at the intersection of Forest Street and Moore Road.

Suspect arrested in Burlington assault, robbery
BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - A South Burlington man who was out on probation for a shooting in 2021 is back behind bars. Police in Burlington say Bonide Badibanga, 22, is one of multiple suspects who robbed and assaulted two people on Main Street in Burlington at about 3 a.m. Friday.
