300 cyclists to make way from Cleveland to Cincinnati in support of American Cancer Society
This week, the American Cancer Society’s annual Pan Ohio Hope Ride will see more than 300 cyclists trek from Cleveland to Cincinnati. The trip runs July 25-28. The first day will take riders 88 miles, from Cleveland to Wooster. The next day will see cyclists taking the 95-mile trek from there to Columbus. Day three will see the riders finish their 84-mile trek here in Dayton. Finally, the ride will close out with an 82-mile ride to Cincinnati.
OHSAA presents $1,000 scholarship to 2 Ashland-area athletes
COLUMBUS – Two Ashland-area teens were among 200 athletes in the state selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Ohio High School Athletic Association. The OHSAA and its six District Athletic Boards awarded $200,000 to 200 recent high school graduates as part of the OHSAA’s Scholar-Athlete Scholarship Program.

ASHLAND — The Ashland Division of Police issued the following reports after officers’ activity from July 19-22. These reports include incidents by date, arrests, citations issued and calls by day organized in chronological order. Police fielded 223 calls. Pool project at Wooster High on schedule
A major pool renovation project at Wooster High School in the Gault Recreation Center is expected to be completed in early August. Wooster said that the greatest priority was to replace the HVAC system to regulate and move air to provide thermal comfort and maintain indoor air quality, The project kicked off in early June. There were multiple phases to the pool renovation project.

MANSFIELD — Sadie Stewart remembers when her food truck was one of the only Richland County trucks serving Inkmates a few years ago.
