Joaquin resident excels in music club auditions

The annual Junior Festival Auditions for District 3 of the Texas Federation of Music Clubs were held February 24 on the campus of Tyler Junior College in Tyler. In the judged events she entered, Madalyn Bryant received a superior rating in Piano Solo and Vocal Solo Musical Theater, and received an excellent rating in Vocal Solo Art Song. She also received her first gold cup in Piano Solo for having a total of three years of superior ratings.

Madalyn is the daughter of Tracy and Jonathan Bryant of Joaquin, is a sixth grade A-student in Gary where her mother teaches, and is an active member of Center First United Pentecostal Church.

She appeared at the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame Museum in Carthage Tuesday, March 19, on the Talent Showcase program sponsored by the Carthage Music Club.
