    Appy League names 2024 All-Star selections

    (WJHL) – The 4th Appalachian League All-Star game is coming to Johnson City at the beginning of next week – and now, fans know the 44 names that will compete at TVA Credit Union Ballpark.

    The West Division All-Stars, led by the coaching staff of the Johnson City Doughboys, and the East Division All-Stars, led by the Danville Otterbots coaching staff, will each feature a roster of ten pitchers and 12 position players.

    The Greeneville Flyboys lead the entire league with seven All-Star selections this season, with the Kingsport Axmen trailing just behind with six All-Stars.

    The remaining West Division teams – Johnson City, Elizabethton and Bristol – will each send three players to the All-Star Game.

    The West Division All-Star Roster is as follows:

    C – Brady Francisco – Greeneville (Grand Canyon/Yavapai JC)

    C – Jayden Lobliner – Elizabethton (Kansas St./San Diego)

    INF – Nick Arias – Greeneville (Pima CC)

    INF – Chase Bloomer – Johnson City (SIU-Edwardsville)

    INF – Gunner Boree – Johnson City (Brown)

    INF – Brodie Johnston – Greeneville (Vanderbilt)

    INF – Mason Swinney – Kingsport (Alabama/Dallas Baptist)

    INF – Devan Zirwas – Kingsport (VCU/Eastern Michigan)

    OF – Tyree Jackson – Kingsport (Hudson Valley CC)

    OF – Dylan Mass – Bristol (Saint Leo)

    OF – Cal Sefcik – Kingsport (Indiana/Cincinnati)

    OF – Christian Toledo – Johnson City (Allegany College of Maryland)

    LHP – Kyle Bade – Greeneville (Oklahoma St.)

    RHP – Caden Carroll – Elizabethton (Kennesaw St./Coll. of Central Florida)

    RHP – Brady Frederick – Greeneville (ETSU)

    RHP – Jacob Gholston – Kingsport (Oklahoma)

    RHP – Blake Julius – Greeneville (Oklahoma St.)

    RHP – Duke McCarron – Kingsport (Maryland)

    The All-Star festivities will begin on Monday, July 22 with the Future Stars Game at 5 p.m., with the Home Run Derby to follow. The All-Star Game will be played on Tuesday, July 23 at 7 p.m.
