ETSU’s King, Hope to speak at SoCon Football Media Day

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WJHL) – The 2024 college football campaign is creeping closer – just 40 days now until ETSU begins its season at Appalachian State.

On Tuesday, each football squad in the Southern Conference will converge on Greenville, South Carolina of the league’s annual Football Media Day. It will be the first such experience for Tre Lamb as the head coach of the Bucs.

Accompanying Lamb to speak with reporters will be sophomore transfer quarterback, Jaylen King, and senior defensive back, Chris Hope.

King was a Freshman All-American for Gardner-Webb in 2023, where he helped lead the Runnin’ Bulldogs to a Big South/OVC Championship.

Hope returns for his fourth season in Johnson City, after leading the Bucs in tackles (94) a season ago.

SoCon Football Media Day interviews will be held from 1-4 p.m. in Greenville, South Carolina on Tuesday. News Channel 11 Sports Director, Kenny Hawkins, will provide full coverage from the event.
