A Bennington Township man suffered injuries Tuesday morning when his tractor went over an embankment.

A “middle-aged” man was on his tractor when it fell more than 50 feet over an embankment on his property in the 4000 block of U.S. 62, according to Jason Hufford, assistant chief for the Homer Fire Volunteer Department.

An Air Evac helicopter flew the man to Grant Medical Center in Columbus with injuries that were not life-threatening, Hufford said.

Monroe, Granville and Hartford townships and County Line Joint Fire District assisted with the rescue.
