    Park rangers to host van tour of the Johnstown Flood Path

    JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Path of the Johnstown Flood is offering a van tour, which will go around the site of the South Fork Dam.

    The tour, which is free, will kick off on Saturday, July 20, at 1 p.m. and will leave from the visitor center. A reservation is required for the tour, and can be done by calling 814-886-6171.

    The tour will go around the site of the South Fork Dam and includes a fully guided tour of the Club House. After leaving the park grounds, the tour winds through the flood ravaged communities of South Fork, Mineral Point, East Conemaugh, Woodvale and Johnstown.

    The narrative portion of the tour concludes at Grandview Cemetery. Participants will then be shuttled back to the Visitor Center.
