Scott Rodesiler leaves Quincy Schools to be near family in Edwardsburg
QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Long time Quincy Community Schools teacher and basketball coach Scott Rodesiler is leaving the district in order to be closer to members of his family. The Quincy School Board on Monday night formally accepted Rodesiler’s resignation as sixth grade English teacher effective August 9, 2024. He is also giving up his Quincy High School varsity boys basketball coaching position.
Jonesville graduate Damon Newell brings home-run hitting to St. Scholastica baseball
Four Jonesville senior baseball players are heading to the collegiate level to continue their athletic careers. The four Comets were a part of Jonesville’s second-straight district championship run, which saw them eventually play a competitive regional championship game against the eventual state champion team from Watervliet. One of those players who had a key impact the past two years for the varsity Comet baseball team was Damon Newell.
