    JOPLIN, MO — After a week sports, we showed off our Top 5 Plays of the Week from around the Four States area.

    Play #1: Jonathan Mogbo (NEO A&M Alum)

    In the 2024 NBA Draft, NEO alum Jonathan Mogbo heard his name called and with the 31st overall pick, Mogbo was selected by the Toronto Raptors.

    Mogbo played for one season with the Golden Norsemen back in 2021-22.

    Play #2: Joplin Outlaws

    After trailing in their game against the Fort Smith Marshals, 4-1, Matthew Persinger, Andre Jackson and Owen Bond all delivered big RBI’s to get the Outlaws back in it to tie the game and take the lead in which they went on to defeat the Marshals, 5-4.

    Play #3: Tajaun Curry (Joplin Crusaders Wide Receiver)

    In some semi-pro action, in their game against the Tulsa Gators, Joplin Crusaders Wide Receiver TaJaun Curry returned a kick-off 90-yards.

    The Crusaders defeated the Gators, 40-20.

    Play #4: Sullivan Lane (Joplin Outlaws Pitcher)

    Joplin Outlaws pitcher Sullivan Lane had a big game on the mound on Sunday against Fort Smith.

    In 6 innings, Lane struck out 8 batters, only allowed 5 hits and two earned runs.

    Play #5: Webb City Youth Football Camper

    At their Youth Football Skills camp, one Webb City youth camper made an incredible catch as he was falling to the ground and maintained possession.
