Rolled Semi affects traffic on I44 for 6 hours

Joplin, MO – Joplin police responded to a call of a semi-truck that had rolled over on I44 yesterday morning. A semi-truck traveling east near mile marker 13 left the roadway and struck the median cable barriers causing it to roll over. Interstate traffic was affected for over six hours. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Cherokee County, KS – Cherokee County residents can now fill out a form that will allow for extra protection while they are away. Residents can complete the 'home away' form requesting extra patrolling around their homes. Deputy Nate Jones says this is just one feature of the county's new crime mapping system.

Parsons, KS – The City of Parsons cut the ribbon for the opening of an outdoor fitness court located at Forest Park yesterday. The seven stations allow users to leverage their body weight for a complete workout. Adults of any age and ability are welcome to use the court. Users can also download the free fitness court app which acts as a sort of coach in your pocket.
