    MSSU Announces Hiring of Taylor Griffith as Head Men’s & Women’s Golf Coach

    JOPLIN, MO — Missouri Southern State University Athletic Director Rob Mallory announced that Taylor Griffith has been hired as the new Head Coach for the Men’s & Women’s Golf programs.

    Griffith is an alma mater of Missouri Southern and a Carthage native.

    He has many years of golf instruction experience. He was most recently the Assistant Golf Professional at Twin Hills and Country Club.

    Griffith also owns the “Griff’s Golf Academy” where is the lead instructor where he gives private and group instruction while also leading camps, clinics and PGA Jr. Leagues.

    “I am very excited to be the next head golf coach at MSSU,” stated Griffith. “I also played at MSSU and it’s an honor to now be back as the coach. Both teams were successful under Mike Wheeler so I have some big shoes to fill, but I’m really looking forward to continuing that success.”

    Griffith graduated from Missouri Southern in 2010 with a Bachelors in Management and Marketing.

    Taylor, his wife Jordynn and son Link reside in Carthage, Missouri.
