Minivan ramps culvert, overturning violently near Redings Mill; DWI investigation

NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. (KOAM) — Just after 6 p.m. Saturday reports of a single vehicle crash on Hwy NN near Fulton Lane alerted NC CC 911.

Redings Mill Fire, Newton County Deputies, NCAD responded. Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified.

On scene we observed a Dodge Grand Caravan with extensive damage in the Hwy NN southbound ditch.

We learn the minivan was traveling south and left the roadway to the right striking a large culvert. The vehicle launched into air and overturned violently.

The female driver, Carlin Williams, 37, of Joplin, Mo. was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. She was arrested DWI and C&I Driving but released to seek medical treatment.

Metro Towing removed the minivan and large amount of debris from the area.
