MoDOT seeks input on I-44 corridor study

(KOAM) - The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is hosting a public meeting today from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Joplin Public Library to gather feedback on the Forward 44 study of Interstate 44.

This project examines over 250 miles of the highway, aiming to update infrastructure to meet current standards.

Joplin Public Works Director Dan Johnson stated, "With I-44 running through the southern portion of our community, it’s crucial that our citizens come out to provide their feedback about this critical corridor."

MoDOT's study addresses the issues identified in a 2008 report, including capacity and safety concerns.
