“Appetite 4 Destruction” plays GnR hits in Yucca Valley tonight
Come on down to Paradise City, or in this instance, the Town of Yucca Valley, to hear hits from Guns ‘N Roses at a free concert tonight. It’s July, but you can come out for some November Rain tonight at the Yucca Valley Community Center, where the town continues their Summer Music Festival concert series. Tonight, they’ll be featuring Appetite 4 Destruction, a tribute to Guns N’ Roses. They’ll be playing a free show tonight, and feel free to bring those sweet children of yours. This is a family friendly show.

A community news column for the Wonder Valley area, published weekly in the Hi-Desert Weekender. An introductory workshop titled “Intro to Glass Fusing” will be held 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at our Wonder Valley Community Center, 80526½ Amboy Road at Blower Road. ‘Summer Pawty’ fundraiser for Palms-N-Paws animal shelter tonight
The Morongo Basin is populated by plenty of humans but also many pets, some of whom don’t have a loving home. One of the Basin’s busiest animal shelters, Palms-N-Paws, is hosting a fundraiser on Saturday to help keep services up and running for all those cruisin’ critters.

“The Little Mermaid” plays tonight at Luckie Park Pool
Cool off tonight (July 19) with a “dive-in” movie night at Luckie Park Pool. The first event of it’s kind in Twentynine Palms, the City’s Parks & Recreation Department will be screening Disney’s live-action version of “The Little Mermaid.” Everyone is invited to hop into the pool or grab a lounge chair and watch the family-friendly musical film. There will be snow cones and giveaways.
