Indians to kick off season in Alamodome
For the first time in the program’s history, Jourdanton will be taking the field at the illustrious Alamodome to open up their season on the gridiron. The Indians will kickoff Aug. 30 at 7 p.m. against Caddo Mills as the first part of a two-game series that will continue in 2025 at the Ford Center in Frisco.
The stage is set for a huge PYF Open Rodeo and Dance
Get ready to rodeo at the 58th Pleasanton Young Farmers’ Open Rodeo and Dance on Aug. 16-17 held at the Atascosa Showbarn arena. Not only will there be a presentation and “the richest rodeo with the largest payout,” but boot scootin’ live music. Grab your boots and your dancing partner for Rocky King, who will be taking the stage on Friday night following the rodeo. On Saturday, the rodeo will start at 7:30 p.m. with live music from Brad Hulsey Band and headliner Jamie Richards to follow the last ride.
Mafia Baseball triumphs in World Series
The 108 Mafia Baseball team recently finished a spectacular season– and they’re already preparing for the next one. The young six-year-old and under team completed their season as the South Coast World Series Champions, going undefeated in the tournament. The championship game’s final score was an incredible 21-5. Yariel Hernandez earned Player of the Game in the championship and first baseman Aiden Inman was named the 2024 South Coast World Series MVP.
Pleasanton athletic office announces ticket plans for 2024-25 season
Ticket information has been finalized and announced for the 2024-2025 athletic season that is slated to begin in just under a month. For those interested in catching the action on the gridiron, season ticket holders will be able to purchase their same tickets from the 2023 football season on Wednesday, Aug. 7 and Thursday, Aug. 8 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Athletic Department ticket office (closed from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch). All others who desire to purchase season tickets may do so starting Friday, Aug. 9 at 8 a.m. The cost per season ticket is $50 ($10 per game).
PHS cheer flies high with UCA Summer Camp
The Pleasanton High School Eagle Cheer Squad held their annual cheer camp with the Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA) this past week at the Pleasanton Athletic Center.
