Football practice begins across Illinois. Here are the top players

High school football practice starts Monday.

A long summer of early mornings, hot days and tough workouts culminates with the beginning of the 2024 season. Teams across the Peoria area will hit the gridiron in the morning or after school.

Regardless, football is here and the Friday night lights will be on before we know it.

Here is the complete list players to watch from quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, defensive and lineman. Plus, check out the inaugural "Dandy Dozen," the Journal Star's list of top players heading into the 2024 season.
