Bradley basketball draws first opponent in Myrtle Beach Invite. See the bracket, schedule

PEORIA — The Bradley basketball team last week announced its full nonconference schedule and last month said it would be part of the Myrtle Beach Invitational .

On Thursday, we learned who the Braves will play first.

Bradley drew Texas State at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21 in Round 1 of the three-day, eight-team tournament, which will be held at HTC Center in Conway, South Carolina, on the campus of Coastal Carolina. BU will play either the winner or loser of Princeton and Wright State in Round 2.

Other members of the field include Ohio, Middle Tennessee, South Florida and Portland.

Other highlights on the Braves' 2024-25 nonconference schedule include the season opener against Southeast Missouri State on Nov. 4 at Carver Arena, a home game against San Francisco on Dec. 17, a Dec. 14 game against Santa Clara at the Jack Jones Classic in Nevada, and the road portion of a home-and-home with Washington State on Nov. 8.

• Consolation semifinal: Losers of 3 & 4, 6:30 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 24 games

• Seventh place: Consolation semifinal losers 9:30 a.m.
• Third place: Semifinal losers, 12 p.m.
• Championship: Semifinal winners, 4:30 p.m.
• Fifth place: Consolation semifinal winners, 7 p.m.
