Sam's Club in Peoria has reopened after a water main issue temporarily closed the business.

The store, located at 4100 W. Willow Knolls Road, was operating normally Wednesday afternoon, with customers coming in and out of the building. Inside, customer service employees assured callers that the location was open.

Peoria Fire Department Chief Shawn Sollberger told the Journal Star a water main break forced the store to temporarily close. Sollberger said the fire department worked with Sam's Club to help it get back online.

A manager at the Peoria store referred questions to its corporate office. The Journal Star reached out to Walmart's media relations but has not yet received a response.
